This is a large hand-painted silk shawl made from chiffon, a lightweight sheer silk that I love working with. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers to paint on, as they are uplifting and adorable. I spent time rendering each tulip with rainbow colors. I know these colors may not exist in reality, but that's what's great about creating my own tulips.
I mixed the rainbow colors, inspired by Japanese colors. They are the demure ones often associated with the WabiSabi aesthetic.
A sheer chiffon silk wrap that can be worn as a shoulder wrap in hot weather or a large neck scarf in colder months. The silk is lightweight, making it perfect for use as a layered neck scarf. The fabric traps your warmth without adding bulk, keeping you warm and cozy.
